Lovely pair of Dutch silver candlesticks.
Mid 20th century, dating from 1960s.
Hallmarks on both contain date letter (1965), 2nd standard domestic silver mark of .835 silver, maker's mark: Gebroeders Niekerk Schoonhoven 1951-1970,
Provenance: sold in New York by Clarkey Auction Gallery and recently acquired in the UK.
Condition: good with minor dents, scratches.
The design resembles a clear inspiration of neoclassical and art deco aesthetics.
