Stunning antique silk Chinese Maonan wedding blanket.
Decorated with patterns depicting mythical beasts and animals: qilin (麒麟), foo dog, phoenix, rooster and pair of dragons with flaming pearl. Beautiful still very vivid colours.
Dating from first half of 20th C.
Provenance: Maonan people from South China in northern part of Guangxi province.
