Absolutely stunning work of art - antique silk embroidery depicting a five-clawed dragon holding a flaming pearl among the clouds with floral patterns in the corners, birds and butterflies on the sides.
Meticulously done needlework represents the highest attention to detail which is rare to find on Chinese textiles.
This piece comes from late Qing dynasty, most likely from 2nd half of 19th C.
Maker's stamp can be found on the back.
Condition: as seen of photographs, there are stains (mainly on the outside parts) and numerous splits in base fabric, however all embroidered parts are in perfect condition - please inspect carefully uploaded pictures.
