Pair of Ugo Zaccagnini's glazed terracotta Tang dynasty horse riders.
Very lovely and quite hard to find figures from famous Italian factory.
Usually, there are seen figures of only horses, finding a pair and with the riders is extremely rare.
Marks and numbers on the bases indicate this pair was made between 1937-58.
That was the time Ugo's son Urbano was running the company after the late father.
Condition: Nearly perfect, with no chips, no hairlines, no cracks or any restorations. The only thing that can be listed in this section is absolutely minimal tear of the glaze on one ear of one of the horses.
Heights: 29 & 26.5cm / 11.4 & 10.4in
